Hi, I’m Helen,

As well as an ICF qualified coach, I'm an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Practitioner and mum to two teenage boys. I have northern roots but have called Wiltshire home for over a decade, after chapters in both London and Oxford.

In my earlier career, I worked in the charity sector in corporate fundraising; organising events, working with celebrities. It was fun, varied and full of purpose, but what I loved most was the knowledge that I was helping people.

My Story and Why I do This Work

My own journey with grief began over a decade ago when my mum lost her three year battle with cancer. I was 40, she was 70, and my boys were just 4 and 6. It shook my world and left me without my mum at a time when I still needed her so much. I then lost my dad during the pandemic and had to say goodbye to him dressed in PPE on a COVID ward. I won’t lie, it’s been tough.

Trying to grieve while supporting my children through their own emotions, working and leading a busy life was incredibly hard. I kept going, holding everything together on the outside, but inside I felt lost. Life didn’t feel ‘normal’ anymore, because normal had vanished.

Loss has shaped me in ways I couldn’t have imagined. At 52 my husband says I’m a different person - and I feel that too. But that’s not a bad thing. I have made peace with my own loss and released the trauma, I have learnt what makes me happy and I feel confident, wise and at peace.

It took me a while to get my sparkle back and it’s why I’m so passionate about helping others find theirs. I am the support I wish I’d had- a calm, compassionate, understanding space where you can lighten the weight of your grief, regulate, reconnect with yourself, and work out what comes next.

If you’ve lost someone too,

you’re in the right place.

‘I went to Helen for EFT because, nearly 5 years after retirement, it still felt like I hadn't dealt with some of the issues related to my work.  I noticed a definite shift over the 6 sessions of EFT that I had with Helen.

I felt completely at ease and safe with her and was able to open up about things that I hadn't even realised were still there, deeply suppressed.

Progress was rapid and, after the last session, I felt lighter and freer. I'm now planning some coaching sessions with Helen to look towards the future so that I make the most of my retirement.’
